Simple method to get rid of the blue background (I know that I pressed something and created the blue backgrounds - bummer)
1. Cursor on Desktop, right click
2. Properties then Appearances then Advanced
3. Dropdown box appears, choose a color chip it must be 5th row and 3rd column - this is transparent color chip
4. Ckick OK, Apply, OK and you should be back to normal.

After many trials, including reinstalling windows, I finally I noticed this "service" in the taskmanager being started for a long time, being responsible delaying my SSD startup for at least 30 seconds. A true POS, and quite amazing that HP does not fix this, considering the many complaints when googling HPQDDSVC. Thnaks, HP, for wasting many of my hours.

Thanks, I downloaded the patch and it fixed the problem - printing and copying was fine, but kept getting the "An error occurred communicating with the scanning device. Please ensure that the scanning device is connected properly and try again." message after installing a new ADSL2 modem.

Hi, For this model, you need to open the battery case at the bottom and plug the Batter cable when using first time, the unit will not start until the battery connections are give.

Its just a precautionary measure to preserve the battery.

You can contact the APC customer care for assistance, they will guide you.

Help plz,

i have installed successfully Hp LaserJet 1200 Series PCL 5 on my WIndows 7 (x86) Machine but when i give print THE PRINT JOB shows its status 'Printing' and then nothing happens i mean it stuck there, drivers don't send job to the printer actually.

i am using USB Port and tried every single thing to fix the problem, like re-install the drivers even fresh copy of windows.

I have had the same problem with HP software for years now. Sometimes it worked OK sometimes HP Director went on strike for no apparent reason. I believe HP is not very strong on software side.
As for the above instructions; well they do not work because the indicated links do not exist any more due to a spat between Microsoft and Sun. So we all are well stuck with HP software bugs.

my problem is that when i give print command to my HP 1018 network printer it prints after restart the host computer. I think if the "print directly to printer" option is enabled then it might be ok. But when I try to change this option the error 0x0000070xc appears.

Pelo que vejo, o blog é brasileiro e comentarei em portugues. Cara, isso aí não deu certo pra mim. De fato nem segui todos os passos, a única coisa que fiz pra me livrar logo do problema foi formatar completamente o SD card e fazer o bkp depois via Titanium, mas ainda assim a porcaria da camera não quer funcionar direito.

Na verdade, o aplicativo padrão do X10 funciona normalmente, apesar de claramente mais lento que qualquer outro aplicativo (muito lento!). Acontece de dar erro na camera quando uso qualquer outro aplicativo, tal como Vignette ou camera 360. Quando dá erro de driver faltando, preciso reiniciar o telefone pra que o mesmo volte a funcionar.
