Curiosity Mars Rover Has Dust and Pebbles Over the Body

Just finished watching NASA Live Television about the Briefing of Curiosity on Mars.NASA released high resolution 360 degree panorama view of the Mars, surroundings of curiosity.From the Release High Resolution pictures the Rover has Black Pebbles and small stones and dust accumulated over the surface of its body. Click on the Images to begin the slide show and to have a bigger view.

 This 360-degree, full-resolution panorama from NASA's Curiosity rover shows the area all around the rover within Gale Crater on Mars, the Rovers has Pebbles and dust particles accumulated over it, by the rockets while descent of curiosity took place.

This is another view on Mars near the Curiosity, Photographed by Curiosity MAST CAM showing hills, where the curiosity will go and investigate biological evidence.

NASA Scientists brief that, these dust particles will clear off by itself when the Rover stats moving and climbing the near by hills in the coming days.There is no abnormal functioning of the Machinery by the accumulated Dust on Curiosity by the descendent rockets.

Curiosity Mars Rover Landing Pictures From NASA

In addition t My earlier post, Curiosity Landed safely on the surface of Mars.NASA Released a series of Pictures on how Curiosity Landed on Mars, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) captured an image of the rover gliding on its parachute just before Curiosity landing.The following are the pictures which makes you feel proud about today's Engineering and Technology. Will Curiosity Land on Mars Safely? A User Poll

My anxiety is near peak, as the NASA's most advanced Rover called Curiosity is nearing the MARS for a successful landing.To Give You more information on What exactly is the curiosity, you can visit the NASA Mars Website to learn more about it.If everything goes well, Curiosity is going to Land on Mars on at 10.31 PM Pacific Time and 10.31 ET Time which would be 11:01:00 a.m. Monday August 6, 2012 Indian Time.

The following is the pictorial diagram of how the Curiosity Rover Will land on Mars and Its named as seven minutes of  Terror.NASA is confident of the Landing of curiosity but cannot guarantee the Landing.As said

Seagate Fix All Option Saved Hard Disk From Crashing

Exploring Seagate tools for Windows saved my Hard Drive from crashing and loosing all the data(though it backed it up).About last 15 days I was concerned with My Seagate Hard Drive Model: ST3500418AS, Seagate tools Basic Tests reported ShortDST-Fail error on my Hard Drive.Following is the part of the Error log.

Further, Seagate asked to run SeaToolsDOS223ALL(Seatools for DOS) which might fix the bad sectors on the drives or asked to return the disk to get a new replacement disk.Thought of giving (Seatools for DOS) a shot, burned the ISO image and started sea tools for windows through DOS, after My drive got detected , I am unable select the drive and perform the tests, Seatools For Dos, just hanged on me and unable to perform any actions and i thought of returning the drive for replacement 

Today morning, just before publishing this post, I had a Self test of the Drive again through Seatools For Windows, ShortDST Failed Again, I saw a option Called Fix All Fast, Fix All Long Option and went through Fix All Short, the Fix All Was successful! Curiously went and ran the Short DST again, Voila..Its unbelievable the Short DST Passed this time , I think the Seagate Fix All Option Fixed all the Bad sectors on My drive and saved the drive from crashing.

Battery Backup And Experience:

After getting the unit charged for almost 18 hours which is recommended during first use, I almost got a back up of 45 minutes with 90% of the load, which is way beyond the claimed back up time by APC, that was amazing. On another day, I was just using my LED monitor(28w) and a modem of (15W), I got a back up of around 2.6 hours, this moment i felt its true value for money. The typical recharge time of the battery is 10+ hours when in offline mode.
