HP CUE Device Discovery Service HPQDDSVC error pops up after starting windows and might cause your system to hang up. At times your Hp printer might also disappear from the printer folder in windows vista and also you can see a recurring installation of the hardware. I assume HPQDDSVC is the service to detect the hp devices and configure the detected devices to the HP Solution Center.
As a temporary workaround for HP CUE Device Discovery Service HPQDDSVC error, you can try disabling the service from the services window. Follow the below steps to disable the HP CUE DeviceDiscovery Service HPQDDSVC service.
Click on Start--->Run(in case of vista type services.msc in search above the start)
Type Services.msc in Run
Windows Service will open
Find the HP CUE Device Discovery Service
Right-click on HP CUE Device Discovery Service and click Properties.
In the Next window
For Startup type select Disabled.
Click Apply then close the Window.
Restart your computer.
I will keep posted here if i find a better workaround or path to fix this particular issue.
Thank!!

Temporary solution is probably final solution for their abandonware.
ReplyDeletehp nin amına koyiim.. hiç bir soruna çözüm üretmiyor. kahrolsun hp
ReplyDeleteThis solution works for me. I no longer have a 20 second wait until my internet connection is established. The HP team responsible for this piece of crap software should all eat a razor blade salad and then go sky-diving without a parachute. My treat.
ReplyDeleteAfter many trials, including reinstalling windows, I finally I noticed this "service" in the taskmanager being started for a long time, being responsible delaying my SSD startup for at least 30 seconds. A true POS, and quite amazing that HP does not fix this, considering the many complaints when googling HPQDDSVC. Thnaks, HP, for wasting many of my hours.
