Unable to Shut Off the Computer Due to an Error in "hpcmpmgr.exe" if you encounter this error you might be using any of the hp software or HP Photosmart Printers, scanners, Deskjet, and All-in-One printers.
When attempting to shut down the computer, a Microsoft error report dialog box is display. Upon submitting this error to Microsoft, it may be identified by Microsoft that this situation is caused by Hewlett-Packard's hpcmpmgr.exe file.
Luckily, fixed this issue with a simple update available at hp, follow the below link and instructions to get the update installed.
