  1. Thanks a million. I'm trying to convert four PDF files into book covers - TIFF format is a requirement for publishing on Amazon KINDLE - it was a great help.

  2. "Remember, you will only have a Black and White output of the final TIFF".

I would suggest that this is not true. I have for over a year been using the MS Fax to create color TIFFs

  3. Thanks for this information! Extremely helpful!

It used to be, though, that on versions of the Adobe Reader (before X), if you clicked PRINT, then on the drop-down box of printers you could choose the Microsoft Office Document Imaging software (which came with Office 2003 and 2007) as an option for printing. Then, it would automatically convert the PDF into TIFF.

This was very helpful to me since, as an academic, I need to take a lot of notes. It was easy to just highlight the converted text in the TIFF document and use MODI's built-in OCR to convert it to Word. Now, I've noticed that Adobe X no longer seems to allow this option. Maybe, it's a Win7 thing . . . or, maybe I'll just go back to Adobe 9 and see if there's a difference.

  4. Super Helpful. Quick, easy and best of all it worked like a charm...

  5. Thanks so much. I couldn't get a (free) tiff driver to work on Win7 64 bit. This worked great!

  6. How do you get it in color?

  7. Thanks! This worked perfectly!
I'm in the middle of a critical OCR project and this post allowed me to get it done FAST!
